The threat of COVID-19 is ongoing throughout the United Kingdom. As a way to mitigate the risk of exposure to COVID-19, our studio has developed a new COVID-19 shooting policy. The determination about whether to engage in face-to-face services is based on current conditions and guidelines, which may change at any time. In order to receive services, the client agrees to:

  • Social distancing requirements must be met, meaning that you must maintain a six-foot (2 metre) distance from others not in your household.

  • There will be no physical contact with others not in your household.

  • You agree not to present for in-person services if you have a temperature, shortness of breath, coughing, or other symptoms associated with COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to another person who is showing signs of infection or has confirmed COVID-19 within the past two weeks.

We remain committed to following government guidelines to limit the transmission of COVID-19. Despite our careful attention to social distancing and other protocols, there is still a chance that you will be exposed to COVID-19 during your session. By signing below, you acknowledge that you understand the risk of exposure and nevertheless consent to in-person services under the conditions outlined below.

Necessary precautions taken:

  • Those showing symptoms of COVID-19 (new continuous cough or a high temperature and a loss of taste and/or smell) will be refused access to the studio, and advised to follow the stay at home guidance.

  • If anybody becomes unwell or suffers from the above symptoms within 14 days of a photoshoot (including the day of a photoshoot) the booking will be cancelled without any consequences for either party. If anybody becomes unwell or suffers from the above symptoms within 14 days of a photoshoot, both parties will inform each other immediately.

  • Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high traffic areas (door handles, desks, seats, photographic equipment  light switches etc).

  • Hand washing facilities and disposable paper towels will be provided. Clients will be asked to use the downstairs bathroom only whilst staff will be asked to use the upstairs bathroom only.

  • Styling will be limited to client brought items or our current in house items that can be laundered nightly. All changes in clothing will be done in the downstairs bathroom and a laundry bag will be provided to place worn or tried on items inside immediately upon changing.

  • We will follow our make-up artists’ policies and procedures for safety. If you are booking one please ask for a copy of the artist’s policies in advance. We will not employ a make-up artist who does not follow a set of pre-agreed upon guidelines. Our photographers will not be able to help you with your makeup or hair, with the exception of giving guidance and insights.

  • We do provide mats/rollers/balls at the studio for the convenience of our dancers. Each item will be sanitised nightly or between every shoot, but for your protection we ask that you bring your own whenever possible.

  • Studio sessions will be staggered and the studio will be sanitised between. Longer lenses will be used and photographers and assistants will be happy to wear face coverings during photoshoots.

  • Where needed, team members should be provided with PPE, gloves and masks, PPE to be correctly worn, and correctly removed to ensure risk is minimised.

  • Correct disposal of all hand washing towels, PPE, cleaning wipes - a dedicated PPE disposal bin will be available with easy access so that discarded masks, gloves and wipes can be carefully managed.

  • Where possible, transport will be prearranged to and from the studio for all team members. Public transport should be avoided if possible. Photographers, assistants and clients will travel to and from location shoots separately so as to maintain distance.

Before the shoot:

  • The client should be aware of all Government guidelines surrounding COVID 19.

  • Upon arrival, you will be asked to call/text the studio for entry to avoid using the front door handle.

  • Gel sanitiser will be provided upon entrance to the building & studio.

  • Regarding catering, the client will be offered hot/cold drinks and light refreshments. Despite our careful attention to social distancing and other protocols, there is still a chance that the client will be exposed to COVID-19.

During the Shoot:

  • Team members to be limited to 5 whenever possible.

  • Equipment is to have an additional sanitation, and handled by one assistant only wherever possible.

  • To practice social distancing and maintain a 2m distance between the dancer and team members whenever possible.

  • We will practice contactless photography sessions. All dancer/client corrections and adjustments will be made verbally or through demonstration.

  • Parents/Guardians may be asked to help move and assist their children as requested by the photographer/assistants.

After the Shoot:

  • If you choose to view your images on the day, we will operate a larger screen computer for you to view your images at a 2m distance. Alternatively, a Zoom call can be arranged for a time to suit.

What you need to do:

  • To help ensure the studio guidelines are adhered to.

  • To provide PPE if needed.

  • The client and and high risk individuals must be made aware to the studio policy before the shoot.

  • Check the dancer and any persons accompanying them are not showing Covid-19 symptoms before the shoot. We respectfully ask that clients only bring one other person to their photoshoot to prevent too many people being in the studio at once.

  • Where possible, pre-arrange transport to and from the studio. Public transport should be avoided if possible.
