About me

headshot2424_1.jpg

Photography was always on the cards for me.

I visited a small art gallery with my Mother when I was a teenager. There were dance photography images mounted on a long white wall. My mother said, that's what you'll end up doing... you'll be a Dance Photographer.

I've always danced. Trained at Penelope's Dance Studio, then continuing my practice at Northern School of Contemporary Dance. I started building my photography portfolio in late 2016. I visited dance companies and offered my services. Within weeks I had my diary booked with headshots, application photos, cake smashes and weddings!

I'm happiest when shooting or researching. My work is inspired by photographers such as Lois Greenfield, Rachel Neville and Hannah Couzens. I'm also influenced by dance companies such as Netherlands Dans Theatre, The Royal Ballet Flanders and Vincent Dance Theatre.

Remember, the best work comes through when you're about to give up... always keep striving for that little bit more.

MY COMMITMENT TO THE DANCER...

I want you to go home with photographs that you can't stop looking at.

As dancers we are always working towards the best outcome whether it be technically or artistically. My goal isn’t to get your best, my goal is to go past your best and get photos you didnt even know you could get.

Coming from a place with a strong classical and contemporary background, I know which leg looks longer and which foot looks better. Every shape you throw, I make it suit you. We keep tweaking and manipulating the position until we find something that fits just right. We'll work together to craft the most unique and individual shots, highlighting your strengths and artistry.

To talk through your shoot, drop your details down here and we can get started!
