SHOW PHOTOGRAPHY

Have a production planned? Here's everything you need to know about Show Photography.

PROMO

SHOTS

It's a good idea to promote your show and be ahead of the game.

The Principal selects certain characters/students of a ballet/show to attend a photographic shoot to create images the school can use to promote the production to friends and families.

REHEARSAL

IMAGES

Bring your production from Studio to Stage.

It's a good idea to post on social media sites or even have a space in the programme to demonstrate the creative process of students and teachers that culminates in the production.

LETS BOOK IT UP

Every school is different and it's important every production is unique. To discuss your thoughts, ideas and requirements,

let's talk...

HEAD

SHOTS

Add student headshots to your show programme. Having headshots of the cast members makes them feel part of a production like they may see when they visit the theatre.

Theres a tiny bit of magic when you spot your little superstar on the page.

PERFORMANCE

PHOTOS

Depending on the production and style of show, I alternate between taking shots from the wings and the lighting box. You can get some really intimate shots side of stage and then some shots from the lighting box which includes everyone on stage.

COSTUME

IMAGES

Costume images are a great way to showcase the students show costumes in a relaxed, artistic way.

I usually take these with my white/black portable backdrop before and after the show and during interval breaks. Alternative

arrangements can be made to facilitate this on a day and time to suit the school and its students.
